Turkey announces legal action against France

Turkey has condemned the publication of a sketch of the Turkish President on the cover by the French magazine Charlie Hebdo and announced legal action.
A statement from the Turkish presidential office said that necessary legal and diplomatic action would be taken against President Erdogan.

The presidency has condemned the provocation, saying Charlie Hebdo’s move was nothing more than animosity towards Turkey and Islam.
Following the publication of the blasphemous sketches in France, the Turkish president called for a boycott of French products, saying the French president needed a psychiatric examination. France had recalled its ambassador from Turkey in protest of Erdogan’s statement.
